2008
  • October – Drivers Direct Training is launched.
  • December – Drivers Direct introduces NVQ training for all of its drivers
2009
  • February – Drivers Direct is named in the Recruiter Magazine Hot 50 recruitment companies
  • June – Drivers Direct’s first franchised branch opens in Northampton
  • August – Drivers Direct’s second franchised branch opens in Nuneaton
  • September – Drivers Direct gain Recruitment and Employment Confederation membership
  • September – Drivers Direct Training becomes an approved driver CPC training centre
2010
  • February – Drivers Direct is once again named in the Recruiter Magazine Hot 50 recruitment companies.
  • June – Drivers Direct moves to its new head office in Runcorn.
  • June – Drivers Direct’s third franchise branch opens in Leicester.
  • July – Drivers Direct gains British Franchise Provisional membership.
  • August – Drivers Direct Training completes 1000 NVQ qualifications.

  • June – Drivers Direct Group reports a £21.9 million turnover, a growth of 9.5%.

2017
  • January – Drivers Direct Logistics completes a second Operator Licence application.
  • March – Drivers Direct’s thoughts appear in “The Recruiter” Magazine regarding Brexit.
  • March – Drivers Direct Logistics opens its third depot in Southampton.
  • May – Drivers Direct reaches the finals of “Global Recruiter 2017” awards in the category of “Best Use Of Social Media”.
  • June – Drivers Direct become finalists in the “Talent Awards” for “Best Team Motivation Event”.
  • June – Drivers Direct Group reports a £26.2 million turnover, a growth of 19.6%.
2018
  • January – Our MD, Gethin Roberts features several times in the “Recruiter” magazine
  • February – Drivers Direct’s MD, Gethin Roberts has more comments published in industry articles
  • May – Gethin Roberts again has his comments published in Recruiter International Magazine
  • May – Drivers Direct reports an turnover of £26.8 Million for 2017-2018, a growth of 2.29 % on last year
  • November – Drivers Direct is a Finalist in the Business Brilliance Awards
2019
  • February – Drivers Direct opens another Franchise branch in Bury St Edmunds

  • January – Having outgrown its previous base due to expansion, Drivers Direct Logistics relocates to a larger depot

  • October – Drivers Direct received a £1.75m investment from FDC to fund an MBO
  • November – Further expansion of Drivers Direct Logistics see the establishment of a new Freight Forwarding department
